Mrs. Sarah Juergens

Hello! A little about myself: I grew up on a farm in Southern Minnesota , the youngest of 5 children. I was blessed to have a Lutheran education for elementary and high school, and then attended Martin Luther College. I graduated from MLC in 1996 with a degree in elementary education. My first call was to teach Kindergarten at East Fork Lutheran School! After 5 glorious years at East Fork, I was called and moved to Saginaw, MI. I served as Early Childhood Director and Preschool teacher.
While teaching in Saginaw I met my husband, Gary, who was vicaring (training to be a pastor) for a year in Roscommon, MI. We met in August, were engaged by Christmas and married by August the following year. God is always good! After Gary finished his senior year at Seminary, we were assigned to Bison / Morristown, SD and served there for 8 years. I kept busy raising our 4 children and working part time as a preschool teacher and organist for our churches. In 2014, we took a call to Tappen, ND. While in Tappen, I taught in a public school for 8 years teaching Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade, and Title I teacher throughout those years. In 2023, the Lord led us to accept a call to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lakeside, AZ. After we moved, I taught for two years at Blue Ridge Elementary, one year as Kindergarten teacher and one year as K-1 Reading InterventionTeacher.
We have 4 children. Grace-freshman at MLC, Hannah-senior at ALA, Joshua-freshman at ALA, Karis-8th grade at Blue Ridge Junior High.In my free time, I like to watch football, especially the MN Vikings, cooking, and reading. I feel very blessed to be back in the White Mountains and serving His people at East Fork Lutheran School.
