Weekly Watch, November 9

Devotional Thought

Today, find a Bible passage or story that you are familiar with. Perhaps, it is even your favorite part of Scripture. Read it again. Did you notice anything new this time? What details struck you? How is God's Word applicable to you in your current situation? How amazing and wonderful it is that God's Word speaks to us and constantly offers new encouragement, even from portions we've read before or know by heart. Hebrews 4:12 reminds us, "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Surely, we can agree!
