Update on Return To In-Person Instruction
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Over the winter months, East Fork Lutheran School discovered that propane was leaking inside the building. It took some time to track down the source of the leak and found that our regulators were broken and our aging furnaces were in need of much overlooked service and replacement. We took action to remove the regulators and bypass them and install a new regulator for the building. Once the furnaces were all serviced and repairs conducted where necessary, the school was believed ready to be opened.
This past week, it was reported that propane was smelled in the building. Our propane tanks are turned off and we are inspecting our gas lines in the building. This has caused us to move our instruction back to online learning. The safety of the students and staff is a concern. Until further notice the school will remain in an online learning capacity until this issue is resolved.
At this time, there is no timetable for completion of repairs. The staff and board know and recognize that this is not the desire and hope that you as parents and guardians had for the conclusion of the school year, especially when it has been as hard and turbulent as it has been and when it seemed that some kind of normalcy was returning to all of our lives. We ask for your understanding and your prayers for God’s continued presence of Christian education through East Fork Lutheran School. Hardships and tests of faith help us to only grow stronger in faith and as a family of believers.
Please pray that these issues are resolved as quickly as possible.
If you have questions, please contact the school office at 928-338-4455.
Respectfully,
Scott Anthony
