Update on In-Person Instruction
East Fork Lutheran School's Board of Education, after reviewing school families' survey results, and following a recommendation from the faculty, has made the difficult decision to postpone a return to in-person instruction. This means that there will not be in-person school on October 19. We know that this will come as a disappointment to many of you, but this decision was made in the interest of keeping students, faculty, staff, and parents as safe as possible.
The faculty longs to see their students and will continue to support them from afar as best as possible. Remember our theme for the school year -- "He loves us to the end." This comfort comes from John chapter 13 and in Matthew chapter 28 Jesus promises that He is with us always, "to the very end of the age." Those promises remain true, even in these difficult times. If you or your child(ren) are struggling with some part of online learning, please contact your child's teacher and they will do their best to support you and your child(ren).
A possible return to in-person instruction will be evaluated again when we approach the third quarter. Teachers will be contacting parents soon to set up parent-teacher conferences for the week of 10/19. Please continue to stay in touch with teachers via Edmodo or other means and continue to check grades on Gradelink.
As a reminder, there are no classes next week due to Fall Break. Online learning will resume October 19.
