Plan and Schedule for Returning to In-Person Learning

A few weeks ago, we told you our goal to return to the school building was March 22. We are still awaiting the School Board's final approval for this return, but we currently anticipate meeting that goal. Should we return on March 22, this is the plan:

Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade students will be in school in-person Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning March 22. K-2 students will be online learning Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Third Grade, Fourth Grade, and Fifth Grade students will be in school in-person Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning March 23. 3-5 students will be online learning Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Grade students will remain online only for now, but we will remain ready for when their return becomes safe.

The school day will run from 8:00am-3:00pm. Drop-Off will begin at 7:40am. Students will have their temperature taken before entering the building. Pick-up will begin at 3:00pm. It is very important that you pick your child up before 3:20pm so that we can effectively clean the building each evening. Students should not bring any school supplies besides their school-issued device(s), but they must bring that device if they were given one! iPads are available for families to be issued more than one, if they have more than one student. Other necessary school supplies will be provided at school.

Finally, all 3-8th grade students, whether they are returning to in-person instruction or not, are required to take the state achievement test, AzM2, in-person. Details about the test and testing dates will be shared next week. The first testing date would be Thursday, April 8th, for 3rd and 5th grade.

Thank you for patience and commitment to Christian education. If you have questions, please contact your student's classroom teacher.
